Sony XAV-7W

The Sony XAV-7W is a Sony Media Center/Receiver with a 7" wide screen TFT display in a 16:9 aspect ratio. It has built-in 4-way high power 45 Watts, and the SSIR-EXA tuner for FM and AM reception. You can control an optional CD or MD changer. Two auxiliary A/V inputs on the connection box let you plug in an optional Sony Audio Visual DVD changer, a portable audio player, or if you want in a video game system.

The XAV-7W included the EQ7, which is a seven band graphic equalizer that has seven named preset equalization curves. The curves are titled XPLOD, Vocal, Jazz, Club, New Age, Rock and Custom. In custom mode you can configure your own custom-tailored frequency response curve, and access it at any time. The Sony XAV-7W car DVD player will decode CD-text, as well as ID3 tag information, when connected to an appropriately equipped disc changer.

The Sony XAV-7W car DVD mobile system display is very bright and easy to read and navigate. The display screen functioned well to about 30 degree’s off-axis, where the colors started to change slightly. The 1 DIN A/V in-dash display XAV-7W has a flip-out, adjustable, motorized 7" TFT screen that provides front seat passengers viewing capabilities of on-screen graphics for system information right from the head unit.
