standalone DVD Player. The DVP-FX1 has composite and S-Video outputs,
as well as set of audio video inputs that give you the power to connect
a camcorder and watch your home videos.

MPEG-2 compression ratios, SmoothScan and SmoothSlow for forward and
reverse searches, and Virtual Enhanced Surround. The player comes
with a full function remote and has basic control functions.
The FX1 has one of the least reflective LCD screens around. The picture
is clear and detailed, which makes it ideal for watching brightly-lit
scenes. Colours are perhaps a little too vibrant, no matter what you
watch, faces take on a orangey hue, and white images are just too
white for comfort. However, in fairness, this is comparatively mild.
This player is very simple to set up and, at first glance, the picture
offered is highly impressive. The image is clear and the screen has
a wide viewing angle. If we had to be critical though, the dynamic
range isn't quite perfect.
