The
Panasonic DVD-LV70 (PalmTheater) is an attractive
portable DVD Player in a case that open like
a laptop computer. The picture is pretty good quality of the high-resolution
7-inch, the image is detailed and sharp with anamorphic widescreen
(refer to related technique for maximizing picture quality in DVD
video, also is a cinematography and photography technique for capturing
a widescreen on standard 35mm film).
The LCD Screen offer sufficiently bright for comfortable viewing even
under sunlight conditions and darker conditions. You can use the Panasonic
DVD-LV70 LCD Screen like a display for external video/audio feed,
give you the possibility to connected to a camcorder for example and
watch the digital videotape playback on the 7” LCD screen.
DVD-LV70 included a full set of features like fast scan, search, slow
motion special effects, forward and reverse frame-by-frame advance,
chapter preview and pause.
This Portable DVD Player comes with a pair of built-in stereo speakers,
below the screen that give you a good sound even as the screen is
adjusted to various tilt angles. However the sound quality from these
built-in speakers are limited due to their compact size. Also included
a private listening with a mini-headphone jack for using an optional
headphones (not included).
A excellent feature is the Virtual Surround Sound (VSS) mode, which
produces a more expansive simulated surround sound environment while
listening with the built-in speakers or connected to a pair of home
audio stereo loudspeakers. This feature significantly expands the
sound field and simulates a surround sound effect.
This is not the best Portable DVD Player on market if we are talking
about picture and sound quality, but is reasonable and one of the
best feature of Panasonic DVD-LV70 is the battery life is pretty long
(nearly 5 hours of play time), that means that you can watch two movies
in a flight, train or car travel.
You can’t find all the outputs for audio & video that you
would expect, as a portable dvd player include a short outputs like:
S-Video output (display video from an external source)Compact composite video (for TV that not have S-Video inputs)Compact Optical digital audio (use this output and the optional mini optical digital audio cable to connect the DVD-LV70 to an A/V receiver with Dolby Digital (DD) or DTS decodingCompact Stereo audio analog output (Connect to your TV or Dolby ProLogic surround sound receiver)
