With
only 5-inch wide-screen display, the Panasonic DVD-LV50
is one
of the smaller Portable DVD Players on market, but the size of the
screen doesn’t means that the image quality its bad, it’s
very acceptable for movie viewing and is shaped for
wide-screen movies and includes Full, Zoom, and normal mode to accommodate
anamorphic widescreen, nonamorphic-letterbox, and 4:3 movies respectively.
The Panasonic DVD-LV50 lacks the SD (Secure Digital) expansion slot.
This is used for adding memory cards filled with MP3s, MPEG-4 clips,
JPEGs, and voice recording. Also you’ll find a couple of minijack
outputs, including a Dolby Digital and DTS-compatible optical audio
output, which means that you can connect the player to your TV or
surround-sound A/V receiver.
The design its very laptop-style, and you can tilt the screen at different
angles making easier to use in a range of situation for the best viewing
performance. Also its very lightweight that you can carry without
a problems during a travel. You can display the video on a large screen
using the side-mounted A/V or S-video outputs.
The DVD-LV50 its very small, but has a strong sound quality, with
stereo speakers delivering simulated surround that makes you fell
like in a cinema with speakers all over the room!. If you want to
connect to external speakers, included an optical digital outputs
that can connect to an external Dolby Digital (DD) decoder for 5.1
channel Dolby Digital Surround Sound.
This player included a rechargeable lithium io battery, that give
you only about 2 hours and 30 min of playback (viewing at lowest brightness
level), its short the time but you can watch an entire DVD movie.
